If you still have your own teeth and only one or a few elements missing, an implant may provide a solution. There are two possibilities: a single implant with a crown or an implant bridge.
An implant, therefore, always remains in the mouth and is not removable. The crown or bridge attached to the implant is stuck in the mouth and is not removable.
A prerequisite for the placing of an implant in the mouth is that the oral hygiene is good and there is no question of inflammation of the gums. Inflammatory diseases of the gums interfere with the adhesion of the implant to the jawbone.
The oral care in crowns, bridges and implants is at least as important as your own teeth. Brushing alone is not enough. Also, the spaces between the teeth and under the bridges have to be properly cleaned.
